AdvaMed 2009 Announces Call for Educational Panel Proposals
Conference Program Developed By Industry For Industry

Washington, D.C. – The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) announced today a call for panel submissions for AdvaMed 2009: The MedTech Conference. Scheduled for October 12-14, 2009 in Washington, DC, AdvaMed’s annual convention is the premier event for business leaders, policymakers, financiers, patient advocates, news media, and other industry stakeholders from around the world.

“AdvaMed 2009 is unique in that it is the only event developed by industry, for industry,” said Stephen J. Ubl, President and CEO, AdvaMed. “Working directly with companies and leading industry stakeholders to shape the convention’s program ensures world-class educational panels that truly meet the interests of conference attendees.”

Educational panels for the 2009 conference will be 75 minutes in length, and should pertain to one of the following categories:

Panel submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria: relevance and timeliness of content, educational value, audience appeal, and panelist expertise. All proposals must be filed via AdvaMed 2009’s online panel submission form and received by April 1, 2009. Applications submitted by AdvaMed members and AdvaMed 2009 sponsors will be reviewed first. Convention organizers are particularly interested in receiving submissions that will interest senior-level, global MedTech audiences and encourage proposals that include international representatives or perspectives.

AdvaMed 2009 will include up to 45 panel presentations, as well as one-on-one partnering meetings, company presentations, networking receptions, and an exhibition hall.
