"Sales and Marketing for Tech Start-ups....The Very Top Secret Techniques."
Sales and marketing are casual terms that are used on a daily basis by members of the business community and indeed by the society at large. But yet, the actual fundamental core meaning and execution effort involved in making those words become reality remain hidden for most of us; or worse yet, taken for granted. It is the process of making the words become real, is there a fulfillment of purpose and intent for the business and for the team member involved. Success is never guaranteed but if we are able to grasp the essence of sales and marketing, we will increase of ability to shape our business destiny.
This seminar is a perspective of sales and marketing based on experiences from the technology sector, which on many levels is parallel to any other business endeavor. In keeping with the spirit of the perspectives shared, there will be no boring yawn-inducing slides. What will be bought forward are stories (some funny, some sad) and from those stories the very top secrets will be revealed. Please note that receiving the very top secrets will make you prone to fits of inner peace, enlightenment and desire to change the world for the better.
Presenter:Kerem Durdag- Kerem Durdag is a partner at Blue Wave Investments tasked with the responsibility of working with young technology companies for capitalization and growth. Prior to that, he was the Director of Sales and Marketing at SenGenuity, a global semiconductor company. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer for BiODE, a start-up which he lead to its eventual acquisition. Mr. Durdag was the past Chief Technical Officer for STEAG HamaTech, Inc. With responsibility over all engineering functions he also managed negotiation of all intellectual property and agreement contracts. Before coming to STEAG, Mr. Durdag was Engineering Manager at Conceptronic, Inc. (NYSE: ARGX) which designed and manufactured capital equipment for the electronics industry. Hedesigned high tech and proprietary technology for rapid commercialization for Visteon, Motorola, IBM, Chrysler and others. He was Finalist in Product and Development and a Winner of SMT Vision 2000 for best new product design and manufacturing in SMT industry. Mr. Durdag has also served as a Board member of Crossrate Technology and also sits on a number of advisory boards , including MCED's Top Gun, and has presented at numerous product development conferences, notably PPLC in Boston and other industry tradeshows and seminars. He has also pubished papers in peer reviewed journals such as STLE and has several granted patents.
